Little Scott McClennan takes on the White House
I’m all for this stuff coming to light at some point. But it pisses me off when all these retired cabinet members, staff, generals, etc.. write their books outlining what they view as basically treasonous acts (and clearly are) yet none of them had the pride and morality at the time to resign with public comment rather than play along in the deceptions for years first before cashing out. He’s as guilty as the rest of them, and should have quit rather than spread rove/cheney and libby’s lies. Scott hope the book advance buys you some comfort from what you were complicit in…Among the revelations in the former press secretary’s memoir, to be released next week:
Go, Scott, go!
- President Bush “convinces himself to believe what suits his needs at the moment.”
- Bush has engaged in “self-deception” to justify his political end.
- The decision to invade Iraq was a “serious strategic blunder.”
- The biggest mistake the Bush White House made was “a decision to turn away from candor and honesty when those qualities were most needed.”
bite’s right, its pretty cowardly to wait instead of stand by your convictions when it actually counted.
Agreed with all the above. Unfortunately, he will now sell more books because he’s collected his “revelations” instead of dealing with them as they happened.
