But no couple, not Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton or Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy or even Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher, come to fame by mining their very relationship. Except, that is, Daryl Wein and Zoe Lister-Jones. When the actors began their first feature film, Breaking Upwards, in 2009, they were in the midst of breaking up.
I saw an early cut of Lola Versus a few months ago and really liked it! I was excited to talk to Daryl and Zoe about it.
I was also at that early cut (it concluded with a NIGHTMARISH focus group) and am looking forward to seeing the final version. Greta Gerwig and I used to be enemies but now we’re totally frenemies.
I want to troll on this so bad. I know SO MUCH shit they have put some people through. But, alas, it was not done to me, so I will keep my mouth shut.
