Roman Ruins - Wildflower

You know when you get ahold of an amazing new project, and it keeps popping up in your world?  That’s the case with Oaklander Graham Hill who “began constructing these songs while on tour in Europe in early 2010, daydreaming in the van about his pregnant wife at home.” You can feel that tension here - the forlorn desire of ‘missing’, that state of perpetual mind-out-of-body that those types of separations create. I love the way this video diptych treatment directed by Land O’ Goshen understands that and recreates it visually. I’m stoked to premiere it for them here.

Get the limited edition 12” vinyl Homebuilding LP (“the vinyl edition is cut as continuous sides with no breaks between tracks, which reinforces the connected nature of the music.”) from Gold Robot Records.

Previously: “Mighty Love”

Charlie understands longing and diptychs better than anyone I know!

I second that.
